Win Percy is often regarded as the World’s Number One Touring Car Driver of all time and is one of the nicest ambassadors for motorsport anyone could possibly wish to meet. He has competed in many classes of motorsport starting his days as a mechanic working in a local garage where he took upon the challenge of competing using his own road going Ford Anglia 1200 at Weymouth Stock Car Stadium one evening in 1964. A public announcement address asked if anyone would put their car against the clock? He came first beating more experienced drivers in the field whilst having a much smaller output of power. He joined Woolbridge Motor Club the following week!
His talent was soon snapped up and turned professional in 1974 in the British Modified Sports Car Championship which he won in the first season of racing. He enjoyed a very successful career with many podium and championship wins.
