Classic Additions enjoys a great ‘Season Opener’ at the 75th Goodwood Members meeting.
The annual Members Meeting at Goodwood is quickly becoming another ‘must do’ event at the world famous Goodwood Estate. Now enjoying its 4th year in the modern day, the first 71 events ran from 1949 -1966, people are flocking to the event to enjoy some top class racing as the classic racers come out from their winter hibernation.
The team enjoyed the same stand as in the last few years next to Bonhams and were pleased to see so many previous customers visiting the stand. The shows provide us with unbeatable opportunities to catch up with our customers and to give new customers an opportunity to see the covers for themselves.
Unfortunately manning the stand means we don’t get to see much of the racing but in the early mornings it is rewarding to see so many of the cars in the paddock covered in Classic Additions car covers. We missed seeing the doyenne of baking Mary Berry enjoying a spin around the circuit with Lord March, however we did get the marvel at some of the amazing cars for sale at the Bonhams auction including a rare Donald Trump badged Cadillac, a half-a-million pound Aston DP214 replica and a 1964 Albatross MK2 speed boat.
Nobody can have failed to have been moved by the ‘Minute of Noise’ staged in memory of John Surtees a kind customer of Classic Additions who gave his advice and support so generously.
It won’t be long until we are back at Goodwood for the Festival of Speed and we look forward to seeing all of you there in what we hope will be warmer weather!
