Proper wheel-to-wheel racing on track between classic cars as well as a big effort to create a festival atmosphere; there is no doubt that the cars are the stars at The Silverstone Classic. The event showcases all cars from the sport of motor racing, from iconic single seaters and magical GTs, through to much-loved touring cars and dramatic sports prototypes.
The Silverstone Classic will feature a host of Grand Prix cars from the early days right up the the present, in both static displays and on track. We’re really looking forward to the roar and excitement of the Ignition GP with the high-revving V8, V10 and V12 engines of F1 cars dating from 1989 to 1997. As it’s the Platinum Jubliee year there’ll also be lots to celebrate about the best of British too.
This classic event isn’t just about the paddocks, it’s always brimming with privately owned classic cars and it’s a joy to attend for many car clubs. With Silverstone Classic Auction you can even bid on something beautiful from yesteryear to make your very own.
