March 2017 - It was with great sadness we heard of the passing of John Surtees this weekend. He was a kind and generous man and we are extremely proud of the kind letter he sent us in 2013.
‘The cars and motorcycles I have been able to retain or collect have all had a special relationship in my life, both on and off the track.
As we get older we all need a little more assistance. Paintwork may have that extra coat of Autoglym, but when the vehicles are back in the garage or overnight in a transporter or the pits at Goodwood they also need a little tender loving care. My first experience of the covers was turning up at Windsor Castle and seeing my 1957 BMW 507 car and two of my racing motorcycles wearing Classic Additions rain covers. Whether they are wearing the superbly tailored soft cover or the equally well fitting rain cover, the cars and bikes still look attractive. Now that we try and use the machines for fund-raising events for the Henry Surtees Foundation it is even more vital that apart from the safeguards which come with the covers we also have that high degree of presentation. Thank you. John Surtees C.B.E
