Honouring John Surtees at Goodwood Revival

This weekend, 6^th – 8^th September, the Goodwood Revival will honour the legendary John Surtees, a man whose achievements in motorsport are unparalleled. Surtees is the only individual to have won world championships on both two and four wheels, a feat that stands as a testament to his exceptional talent and versatility. His illustrious career, marked by tenacity and brilliance, has left an indelible mark on the racing world.

As Classic Additions, we are incredibly proud to have been John Surtees’ chosen company for car / vehicle covers. Over the years, we had the privilege of supplying covers for his remarkable collection of cars and motorcycles, ensuring that his prized possessions were always protected with quality and style. Our relationship with Surtees was more than just business; it was built on mutual respect and a shared passion for all things automotive.

The Goodwood Revival's tribute to John Surtees is a fitting celebration of a true motorsport icon. From his early days dominating the motorcycle circuits to his later success in Formula 1, Surtees' career is a source of inspiration for enthusiasts and racers alike. To see his legacy celebrated at such a prestigious event is fabulous and it will bring a certain magic to our stand over the weekend.

As we look forward to next weekend, we at Classic Additions are reminded of the great honour it has been to serve someone as legendary as John Surtees. His spirit and accomplishments will continue to inspire us and many others in the automotive community for years to come. We are extremely proud of the kind letter he sent us in 2013 which you can read here.

We hope you are all looking forward to reliving the glory days of Goodwood at this iconic event.  Come and see us Over the Road on stand 362 this weekend!
