June means the Goodwood Festival of Speed here at Classic Additions and this year's event 'Flat-Out and Fearless:Racing on the Edge' has got to be up there as one of the best yet. Everything, from the sprialling Madza racecars about to spin off into infinity to the revtastic Michelin SuperCar run, was 'flat-out' whilst Nissan were 'Fearless' and very definitely 'On The Edge' when they decided to race a Juke along on 2 wheels - breaking the world wheelie speed record in the process!
We were delighted to get the chance to see a Win Percy, an old friend of Classic Additions, and even more dellighted that he had brough his Jaguar and it's rather special Custom Indoor Cover with him.
Also present were Moto GP legend Valentino Rossi, F1 heroes Jenson Button and Nico Rosberg, although sadly no F1 cars were tried out on the track. Ford's Ken Block caused quite a stir in his 845bhp Mustang when he put on an incredible gymkhana display (not sure what that means? Click here... you won't regret it) and let's not forget world's fastest man Andy Green - although he'd probably rather we did forget his crash at Molcomb corner!
In terms of cars, well what can we say?! Some amazing new cars were unveiled at the event, with the Aston Martin Vulcan and the Lotus 3-Eleven topping our list of favourites (more about the Vulcan here). We also loved the Aerial Nomad and the Audi R8 V10, which made it's UK debut at the event. The Classic Additions stand had a great buzz all weekend and it was fantastic to see lots of previous customers and to meet some new ones.
