We are excited for the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2019. Its just over a week away and we can’t wait to be there.
The Festival of Speed if well known to be one of the biggest and most exciting motor events in the calendar. The FOS has been going since 1993 and incorporates many different attractions and features. The show attracts anything from a modern super car to a rare historic car in the concours. The shows main attraction is the hillclimb up and around the Goodwood circuit, but also includes a rally stage, super car run, moving motorshow and the Cartier Style et Luxe concours.
One feature that is always kept secret until quite close to the event is the Central Feature that is displayed on the lawn in front of Goodwood House. The Central Feature has been designed by the very talented Gerry Judah since 1997, and yet again this year. The sculpture always honours a manufacturer, race team or significant person in the industry. This year we are really excited that the Central Feature will celebrate Aston Martin and its racing success.
We work really closely with Aston Martin and Aston Martin Racing, as official suppliers supplying all of their car covers, padded racing equipment and reveal silks. Everything we make is handmade in our factory and completely bespoke to their needs
In recent years Aston Martin have gone from strength to strength, introducing new models and the exciting racing inspired AMR range. We love working with them on all the new upcoming projects, whether it’s the latest DBX SUV set to launch this year, or their top-secret Bond vehicles for the blockbusters you see in the cinema.
We can’t wait to see which Aston Martin cars will be incorporated into the Central Feature next week, but in the meantime take a look at what Goodwood have to say about why they chose Aston Martin here: https://www.goodwood.com/grr/event-coverage/festival-of-speed/2019/5/2019-fos-central-feature-to-celebrate-aston-martins-motorsport-success/
